Danni's Experiences (coming soon!)
My mom had an interesting paranormal experience once while she was working at the old nursing home in Carthage (I believe). It has since been torn down from my understanding, as the building was greatly deteriorating and there are many other available nursing homes in town and the surrounding areas. She worked the night shift there and on this particular night she was doing laundry, in which she had to go down a couple floors to do. It was usually dark and quiet down there as most of the people would put the laundry in and leave the area to complete other tasks. She told me there was a long hallway leading to the laundry room, and she said it was always a spooky walk and she always felt as though eyes were on her even though there were no patient rooms or faculty offices down there. As she was preparing to enter the laundry room she heard something that caught her attention. She turned around see if anyone else had come into the hallway to enter the laundry room, but she did not see anyone. She continued into the laundry room, and checked to see if she could see anyone once more. This time, at the end of the dark hallway, she saw what appeared to be a burning cigarette about midway in the hall. She was slightly frightened to see a figure attached to the glow of the cigarette. She figured someone decided to sneak down there to smoke, so she pushed the cart into the laundry room and decided to go and check on the person in the hall. She called out as she exited the laundry room, only to find she no longer saw the figure or the glow of a cigarette. She walked down the hall and did not find anyone in there, and she did not smell any smoke. She was never quite as comfortable entering the hallway or laundry room again after that!
